The movie talks about a creature from outer-space called “Klaatu” and his giant robot named “Gort” that land on earth in Washington DC on board a UFO to explore the planet, know more about its human inhabitants and rescue them from themselves. The federation of neighboring planets sends a peaceful warning signal to the people of the earth to stop wars amongst each other if they want to survive on this planet. To show they are serious the movement on the surface of the earth is suspended. The movie sends a peace message to humans because people on earth believe violence is the only way to impose their opinion. The film is audacious, adopting a non-traditional approach making it obvious humans are not the only victims but it is the pollution of earth that is at stake. Modern technologies used in the movie are an a worthwhile investment, stressing pain may create a better situation for humans rather than will their happiness.
